All said and done (including bearings/labour, machining) you'd be looking at between $10-12k

If budget is an issue, do bigger pistons, rods and r32 machined crank or R34 crank and that would be close to 1/2 the cost

Lol, the battle wont stop there. Then youll want a baffle plate, sump extension, built heads, cams, gears, turbo's, supporting mods. Does the kit come with an oil pump? You get the idea. Although it would be wicked im starting to switch plates. Built, Twin turbo V8's are gnarly as fck and heck of a lot cheaper... Maybe
Dang! You got shocks, pegs... Lucky! You ever take it off any sweet jumps?

He could be trying to build a stock car with Rb28 lol.

My friend, before looking at strokers, check out the twoogle car.

RB26, stock sized pistons and the thing is pushing 550wkw. 9 second 1/4mile.You don't need a stroker unless you have serious cash and lots of support mods. You can do much more with $5500 if you don't have huge cash.

              Even a stock RB30 can do 500whp and won't cost $5500.

RB30 +1.........IF you take care of the install yourself and compansate for the extra deck height by lowering the whole thing 1/2" with cutdown motor mounts. You don't absolutely have to but it really helps take care of alot of BS from the head being an inch higher in the compartment. Plus it lowers the center of gravity a little (hey, every little bit counts). If you don't do it yourself all the fiddly crap will cost a bundle if you get anyone else to do it. For $5500 you can have a freshened (new pistons, rings and brgs, gaskets with hone and blueprinting) stock 30 installed and putting out like a drunken prom date if you did it all but the actual machining yourself.

A healthy stock 30 will do 500whp with ease. With new pistons, rod bolts and a perfect balancing will go to 700whp. Im pushing 650whp right now on a stock 26 with little HKS cams. A 30 would have MUCH more bottom end and midrange on a turbo capable of 700whp.

if I had to do it again, i'd seriously consider running a stock, used, long block. beat the crap out of it, break it, rinse and repeat. especially since i'd be doing the labor and its only a track car.

people get scared of stock parts, and they tend to overbuild motors.
                  oh hai!

A rb26 can get quite expensive if you start doing all those '' well..... while I'm here.. why not ? '' 5x of those thing at 200$ each. Add shipping, tax, your up to 1300$ of extra parts + the labour if your not doing it. All parts that might never break on your motor but for the heck of it...

RB30 has more power, torque throughout powerband over RB26 bottomend. Same result with RB28.

If want a good powerband and good amount of rwhp, torque at a reliable low boost level, different sound, Cima VK45DE Nissan V8 (from 450X four Cima model with 4wd). I think that V8 was based of a GM V8 engine they used in Lemans racecar back in the day, so GM V8 internals fit inside (parts should be cheaper). It requires custom engine mounts, manifolds, etc.

The benefits is you keep the 4wd for traction and pulls like a V8. There's only one person I know of that has done it in a R32 GTS-4, so is a very rare conversion. That's if you want to be different. Some prefer to keep the original engine, which is understandable.

Oh you are evil, don't put thoughts like that in my head. That would be absolute tits. People would lose their minds if they saw that.

Hmmm....a pair of N1 turbos on that would be perfect. Full boost at 2000rpm and 600lbft of torque at 3000rpm.......

I can hear things breaking already....lol.

Probably would be alot easier, as more engine builders are familiar with V8 engines (GM, etc).

It was done by R.I.P.S for a customer in UK (from memory it was a wine red R32 GTS-4) and was mentioned on Nico forums in the VH, VK V8 section (from memory) -

It takes going through build thread titles while looking for "R32", "VK45DE" to find it.

Hmm, you probably could fit VK56DE internals (stroker kit) to VK45DE and when VK56DE engines are modified, they are good for 660hp at 8800rpm when NA (add turbo's, probably 900-1000hp) -

Dyno tuning at JPC Johnsons Performance Centre.Nissan VK56 V8 making 660hp @ 8800rpm.5.6L/338ci alloy V8 DOHC 32v.If you’d like to be notified every time we ...

Also there's another V8 into R32 (might be R32GTR??) build in Australia (might be the 2nd build involving a V8 in 4wd chassis), but website is not there anymore.

Dragon Humper, the halfshaft's on R32 GTS-T snap like twigs on hub side (photo's in link below) with turbocharged VH45 V8 in R32 -

Last I heard it ran a 10 sec 1/4 mile.

                            Here's that R32 running a 11.4sec 1/4 mile and beating a Supra -

just beating million horsepower supra ,did 11.45 personal best so far

it's funny how you ask this question

Labour cost is $6100 as it's on second page which is not shown here.

Now I think about it I rather get a healthy stock rb26 with turbo upgrade and stuff...but then I still love my car....hahahaa
