  • Oil cooler means more oil ?

I'll install a brand new oil cooler soon and I was wondering if I'll need more oil ?! The core will fill himself?!
Setrab 13 row with 5' hose with no relocation kit.

Fill up the car with oil.
Have it run for 30 seconds.
    Check the level.
    Repeat till full.

Unplug CAS and crank engine until it fills oil cooler core, etc (might need a spare battery, as could drain battery while doing this). Plug CAS back in, check oil level, fill if necessary to H mark (to H mark is overfilling it slightly to help prevent oil starvation problems) and start engine. You don't want to start a engine dry, as could damage turbo CHRA x2, etc. Lack of oil on startup is one of the quickest ways to destroy turbo bearings.

If want to, can fit a Accusump that can fill the oil system with oil before starting engine.

Then clear CAS error code on ECU by pulling off negative terminal on battery, pressing brake pedal to remove any left over charge (if there is any). This will reset stock radio, etc, so note settings before doing this. Refit negative terminal and you are done.

Also make sure hoses, etc are connected the correct way on sandwich plate.
