R32 gtr no boost. Help!

Hi Guys, I have an R32 GTR thats not boosting and Pinging, Has good compression and good fuel pressure, Have Checked, Coil Packs, Cam Angle Sensor, Ignitor, It has new Spark Plugs, New Injectors.

Did a test on the ECU, Getting a knock sensor code

Also has a boost controller.

If anybody could help it would be greatly appreciated.

Did this recently start happening?
Start by disconnecting the boost controller then try it again, other then not boosting do you have any power loss? Can you rev the car at all? As in is it in limp mode?

Can you hear the turbos spool at all?

How do you know it's pinging, did you use knock head phones???

Frankyy - Engine will free rev all the way to the rev limiter. So i'm guessing it's not in limp mode. Definetly no turbo spool at all. Car was driving fine up until the point where it just stopped boosting and now engine is pinging under load.

Skym - Can hear it pinging under load from 2500rpm onwards.

Your probly running lean if its pinging under load. Check your fuel system.

If it were a boost control issue you'd still build some boost before the waste gates opened on their own (by that I mean I didn't use a boost controller at all and could make 1bar before they opened on their own). Check your waste gates. I'm guessing you blew a turbo maybe (if you really have no power)or you have a fuel problem

Sounds like fuel pressure is dropping off if above 2500rpm, which I assume is 0? on boost gauge. Check FPR, as they are known to fail on GTR's. Pull vacuum hose off FPR (block nipple on intake plenum) and see if fuel pressure rises 7psi or so on fuel pressure gauge at idle.

Knock sensor error code should make ECU revlimit engine to around 5000rpm.

Also check that you are not running engine on a bad batch of fuel (it does happen at some service stations). If octane of fuel drops it would ping. Try draining fuel tank, refilling with known good high octane fuel.

Put a fuel pressure gauge on it and im getting 44 pounds. Will have to check wastegates and get back to you.

Hey guys, Just got the turbo's out. Rear turbo exhaust wheel was completely shattered and gone.

That was my second guess, I didn't wanna scare you but that may be a good thing! Time for a small turbo build? Or there's a few rb20, rb25 turbos for sale in the fs section,

Weird that you didn't hear it happen, normally they go when your under boost so you can hear them shattering and clinging through the exhaust, hopefully you have no cat in there or I'm afraid your cat got beat up on the inside lol
