  • Actuator adjustment

I've got a set of HKS actuators on N1 turbos and plan to run around 16-18 lbs of boost.
Is there a certain amount of tension I should adjust the actuator rods too?
    Thanks!

Stock actuator arm length to start with.

The spring inside HKS internal wastegate actuator bulb is higher with psi, around 14.5psi or so from memory vs stock 9-11psi (varies from car to car and due to age, but 11psi is where it should be). Can tighten actuator rod up more to help with spool (usually with boost controller, opened up exhaust from turbo's, but if too tight you might get a boost spike at higher rpm due to wastegate on back of turbo doesn't open as much as it should and spring inside bulb part wears out earlier than it should).

This doesn`t answer your question, but is relevant to adjusting actuators.
