Power steering pump??

hey guys so my power steering pump is whining pretty loud. i need a new one bad :P
I told to someone and they said it is way to much for a brand new one(around 700)!! so is there and alternative one i can buy such as a 240sx or 300zx that work aswell??

I bought one on ebay last year and it work good. You can have one for about 150$

Go to Nissan dealership part department with part number and look up the part number in Fast (Nissan's part program) and compare to other models to find out what works. Also there is a Fast thread on here somewhere.

The mounting bracket (length of powersteering pump affect's this), amount of ribs on pullies, amount of ribs on pully belt (and crank pully), just to name a few are some of the differences between Nissan powersteering pumps. You can swap pully and custom make a mounting bracket (or use correct mounting bracket) to make a different model powersteering pump fit.

I would rebuild powersteering pump (usually around half the cost). It's normal for auxilaries to fail when engine has done over 100,000km.
