  • 4wd light on with torque gauge stuck at 30%

I did a doughnut today for the first time in a while. after the 4wd light came on and the front torque gauge was stuck at 30 and then came down to 0 after a few KMs. Gauge didn't move again until I turn off the car and reset the 4wd system. doesn't feel any different, no fluid under it and visual inspected underneath, nothing broken.

should I be worried? ideas of why?

They can take a thrashing if built to (racecar on racetrack). At factory they aren't built to take a thrashing.

Rear wheel speed sensors picking up that rear wheels are wheel spinning. Also I think there's a tooth drive near rear diffhead as well. When 4wd ECU detect's wheelspin it puts more torque to front wheels. Car speed, G sensor play a role as well.
