  • Power FC Won't Idle?

Recently picked up what I thought was a D-Jetro PFC from a seller on here, He ended up sending an L-Jetro for an R33 GTR and soon after decided not to respond to PM's. Anyways, We went to install the PFC on my R32 GTR. The unit starts up fine, it's been reset from the hand commander, and the PFC boost controller has been turned off. The ECU starts the car, then it instantly dies. It will not idle. Am I doing something wrong? I've got a feeling I've been sold a fried ECU. Everything I've read online suggest the car should start and self learn it's idle.

On another note, If i'm using aftermarket turbos on a stock ECU, Will I see AFR issues if it stays in low boost settings around .8 bar?

    Any help is welcome..

    Thanks, Dylan

    Turn O2 feedback off.
It's default is on in the commander so just change the setting.
As for your idle what is the history of your setup?
Was this engine running on factory ecu and you just swapped it out?
    Or
Did you never have this running after doing mods?
    Injectors etc..

The car is completely bone stock. I'll try the Oxy sensors.

Will it stay running if you keep the throttle partially open?

i had a pfc fry on me and it did the same thing, not to say this is the conclusion you jump to, just something i had to deal with. get your hands on a different pfc if you can and try it out.

Does it fire up then die or it won't fire at all? Could be something that is turned on/off on the commander. There is a few things on there in Japanese that I have yet to get my wife to translate and I have no idea what they are....but they are switches (like for turning on and off the 02s and the boost controller).

I bet you don't have the correct MAFs and/or injectors selected.
                      oh hai!

It could be a bunch of things. Just the temp correction being off can cause it to run like poo or not at all. Get someone near you to show you all their tables to see if they are close (bearing in mind injector differences and whatnot).

Do you have standard MAFS and Injectors?
Is so then if it's been reset from the hand controller all the settings like cold start etc will be fine.

You need to change the default setting for MAF's to one on your car.
                            Go to Setting,right.
                            Airflow,right.
                            Select 1.R32 Normal.

I'll bet it's the MAF settings.
You'll also need to do the Idle Self Learn.
