Where would the other end of this be located?

The o2 sensors are located further up exhaust, just behind turbo's.

That's the cat overheat sensor which activates the cat overheat light on dash when exhaust temps reach over I think was 800 degrees C. That sensors loom goes through a grommet in the floor pan and plugs in under the passenger seat (put hand behind / under back of front passenger seat and should feel a hole in carpet and inside that hole is the plug, etc). Probably alot easier to remove passenger seat to access the plug.

After removing cat you can earth at the plug under seat if you need to turn the cat overheat light on the dash (talk to auto electrician on how to do this properly). Or buy a second hand replacement and strap the cat overheat sensor itself to side of exhaust with a intake hose clamp (make sure there is metal to metal contact). If going to keep the cat, buy a new sensor from Nissan (usually part numbers are etched on side of sensors).
