  • Tuning Question on my gtr

hey guys i have a 1995 gtr and the pistons are gone so im going to put new pistons and get a new set of turbos because one of my stock ones blew up im thinking a set of -5s and was wondering what would be the best route for tuning to make it a safe daily with respectable hp numbers
lol so my question is what kind of ecm or tuner should i be looking at i have no idea for the gtrs im still quite new
    Thanks guys ,Dylon

If you want to keep it simple and for those turbos a set of 550cc or 650cc injectors will suffice for the required fuel to take advantage of the new turbos.
Talk to your local tuner and find out what their prefered tuning suite is. If they like PFCs then get one, if they like Halteck get one.
That should put you into the 410-430whp range with proper tuning and depending on what your other supporting modifications are.

No tuners in fort crack, gonna have to go to Edmonton at the closest. -5 are good and can do 500whp easy enough. Thankfully your location says that you'll be able to afford the costs involved in "respectable" power.
          No build thread.

Light speed in reddeer, vex or autodream in Calgary , what kinda ecu do you have? That might give you a better idea where to bring it. I've never used any of these places, but My car is going to autodream on the 25...

Most places want you to use the ecu they r most familiar with... Light speed-vipec , vex - haltech , autodream - link, but they can tune whatever , light speed would have tuned my PFC, and autodream will be tuning my haltech.

Well your on the right track, I'd go to cam at light speed, unless you want to come to cgy, I've heard a lot of good things about him,

well i have no problem making the extra distance if i know im getting what im paying for. i mean i dont need it tuned to the point it gets every possible .5 hp gain it can i just want it reliable because it will be my daily for most of the summer

Light speed would still prob be your best bet, there's quite a few people on the forum who go there, i called him a while ago, it was 1850 for the vipec ecu+ install and around 700 for tuning. They come up used all the time for pretty cheap, one just sold on here for 1200, I bought a haltech platinum pro a while ago for 1000.
