  • Lightening stock flywheel

I'm replacing my clutch and need to machine my flywheel I know it's possible to lighten it but what are the cons to lightening the stock flywheel?
Vibration, Rpms dropping quicker, stalling, bad launches?? Hot spots? less torque ... Do the cons outweigh the pros on this one??

    Lots of aftermarket flywheels available
I wouldn't fck with the OEM one. It was built to be how it is.
Competition Clutch flywheel is what Ihave and I'm happy with it

from what I understand lightening the stock flywheel isn't suggested. aftermarket light flywheels would be the better option. On my ae86 i loved my light cromley flywheel. Made it so much fun to drive

I took it all apart Friday and the nismo flywheel was already lightened so I sent it away to be machined, it's all back together and running like new again
