  • Gasket OEM/Metal aftermarket

I dont know if any of you guys come into this problem .... About 3 years ago the idler on the timing belt break and the valve it the piston .... So rebuild everything and put an tomei headgasket and oem gasket anywhere else .... So about 1 years later the front gasket on the exaust manifold start to leak what i found is the gasket itself slide to the front of the engine and missanlign enverything ... Fine so i order some cometic metal one and install juste the front one ... Everything is fine no leak nothing two years later the second one is doing the same thing and i dont know why maybe a bad batch from nissan .... So i just wondering if any of you have come to this problem ??

I think for everybuild that i make in the futur i will use metal gasket just for safety

Factory exhaust gasket should be metal.

They may have used a helicoil, smaller diameter exhaust stud, hence doesn't match the holes in stock exhaust gasket. Exhaust studs do snap.

Factory oem head-manifold gaskets are graphite.
