  • Ls2 coilpack wiring question.

I get the wiring, what I'm wondering is can I wire the 12v ground and the two grounds parallel to where I have a short wire coming out the plug of each coil pack going into one main wire for each?

That's how I did it, I ran all the grounds just to the oem plug for power and ground, since then I've set it up on a relay for the 12 v, but it didn't make any difference

I have most of the wire on and was going to connect all the 12v and grounds at the ends like it sits to the factory plug (still have to do the 2nd ground), it just seems like an excessive amount of wires. Can I leave the power and ground wires from the front coil pack long then just cut the rest a couple of inches and splice it down the first one?

        Would this work?

Yes. That works fine, you can ground one on valve cover and the other on your relay or the oem plug, or you can grojnd them both I'm the same location .

Those are just the factory ls2 wires. I bought a build it your self taylor kit off ebay for 70$. its about 20 ohms for a strip that long however idon't wanna wreck my center cover so I'm going in through the ignitor hole =\. Gonna end up being like 140 ohm resistance, curious how much power loss that is in actuality.

just make sure the wire gauge is plenty for ground.

                      Ls2 coilpack wiring question.

There's actually a guy on kijiji that sells an aluminum plate to mount ls2 under the cover in stock location using stock boots, awesome if someone wanted to keep the oem look

He also sells the adaptor for 2jz

                            Looks pretty awesome.

I'd really like to just pick up some springs and then it should be easy for coil on plug using old stock boots. Anybody running cop setup car to chime in on what spings work for this?

I've seen one that was homemade, wasn't pretty, and couldn't fit the stock cover, too bad I cut notches in my cover to fit the wires
