Degreeing Cams, Quick Q.

Found a great write up on how to properly degree your cams;

What I am trying to understand is how he came up with the degree value ATDC for the intake cam (115) and degree value BTDC for the exhaust cam (115)?

On my cam card for my Tomei Pro/Pon B Cams 260/9.15mm, I dont see where to get these numbers, other then the Lobe Centers (110 IN, 115 EX )

Thats it...the lobe centers. Once you find that you know that the cams are set to zero. In the write up the cams just happened to be 115, 115. You can go through all of that for poops and giggles but rest assured they will be right on the money. In 25 years of working on cars I have only ever HEARD of cam(s) being ground wrong once. Gives you some good expirence though. The real fun begins when you start to dial them in to give your particular combo of parts the best settings. I found narrowing the lobe seperation didnt affect my spool time at all and gave me a nice bump up top with a bitchen idle lope.
