    Attesa Problem

    Hate starting another "4wd light" thread but have been searching around looking for answers to what I have going on but cannot find anything specific. Just imported a 1990 GTR so this system is very foreign to me and first time starting the car up the 4wd light was on and as far as I know it was working in Japan. The car did get a new clutch before it left Japan, so not sure if there is anything there that might not been plugged back in after the tranny was out? I've checked fuses, not 100% sure how you tell if the one under the hood is bad or not. Fluid in the trunk is full and I'm not getting any codes on the attesa ecu, which makes me think it's not getting power possibly but have no idea where to start looking to check that. I can hear a pump coming on when I turn the key, not sure if that is just the fuel pump or could be the attesa pump.

    Any input would be much appreciated on where exactly to start looking and checking for the issue.

    Can you confirm if power is being transferred to the front wheels when you accelerate? If you dont see the torque transfer gauge move when you floor it and the car stays in RWD mode, you need to check the fuse.

    People often disable AWD on GTRs to keep them in RWD mode by removing the 4WD fuse. If I recall correctly, the fuse is either in the engine bay by the battery, or under the dash on R32s.

      Fuse is under dash first top left an 10a

        I've checked both fuses before, looked again this morning real quick and both are good. I changed the 10A under the dash since I had a new one but did notice both fuses have a little grease on them, assuming it's di-electric grease (black-ish). And as far as I know the torque transfer gauge has never moved but I will check tomorrow since I will have the car out because I haven't looked at it under acceleration.

          Drove the car today and torque gauge is definitely not moving even under acceleration.

            So did determine over the weekend that the pump is not coming on or even priming when you unplug-plug in the connector under the driver side kick panel. So either the pump is bad or not getting power.

              So, after watching this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgG9g85K_mA I've determined my pump does work when you short the two power wires together, I did not pull the relay apart like he did in the video. So next I'm assuming to look and see if I'm getting proper connection to the Attesa ECU and determine if the relay is bad possibly.
              Anyone have any other input knowing this now??
