  • SARD BOV's for GTR...Any good???

Hey all. I need to get a couple of BOV's for my GTR and I don't want to break the bank. I was wondering if anyone has heard the SARD BOV's and if they're any good. I know eveyone is going to say " get HKS or Greddy" but I don't have $600 to spend on it right now. All constructive info is apprciated.

    Hi

The Sard BOV are quite reputable, and they are cheaper then the HKS. I sell teh Sard for $279 and the HKS for $499 for BNR32. Also, the Blitz are $459.

To be quite honest, they are all good quality, and you will be happy with any of those models.

Here's some info on the Sard:

SARD R2D2 (RACING BLOW OFF TWIN DRIVE TYPE 2) An aluminum die cast part ensures a super lightweight & compact body. The air capacity of the air chamber increases by having air jackets all around the cylinder valve. A large opening nozzle improves air discharge efficiency, and facilitate the tuning of the intoxicating & addictive blow-off sound. R2D2's air sealing reliability is tremendously improved by integrating the valve & the shaft design. This design also make the R2D2 BOV more compact & lightweight which also equates to a more affordable price.

    * Adjustable BOV Spring Load - Ensure that the BOV doesn't leak at idle
    * Nomex Seal - Ensures tight piston seal to warrant against leaking
    * Twin Drive - Maximum venting and Great Sound
    * Blue SARD Racing Silicon Hoses included
    * SARD Parts Bag containing Hose Clamps, Zip ties and T-Piece
    * Designed for street cars to high boost track cars!

R2D2's also sound reallllly nice. My buddy had one on his FC3S.. great sound.

Daryl's price on the R2D2 kit for the GTR is insane.. 279 for TWO BOV's ..

Which ones sound reasonably sedate? I don't want something to over the top.

Keep the stock ones or run aftermarket recircult BOVs. They will make the car run nice if u still using MAFs.
