  • engine install question

i have been told this will work but too much money is on the line in case im wrong
i have a gts-4 i want to keep my existing trans and oilpan for awd when i put an rb25 into her.
will everything line up such as oilpan bolt holes and trans bolt holes all that jazz
and would installing oilpan on engine before i drop it into my car be less of a hassle than droping the engine into the oilpan?
thanks tell me what yall think

you need a awd rb25 block or a sump adapter. I would recommend against the sump adapter and the awd rb25 block is pretty elusive.

It would be much easier to just swap a rb26 to be honest.
I am sure other more knowledgeable people on this subject will chime in with your options.

Regardless, remove the front axles. It's far easier to pull the engine with the pan then trying to remove the pan in car.

        yes!

im getting an awd rb25 so thats all great thanks for the info

and the reason i choose the 25 rather than the 26 is simply cause of originality
and im gunna go big power with single turbo so save a pain in the ass by not haveing to change mani and turbo lines and all that jazz

        thanks again
