alright dude, there were alot of words and i may have misinterpreted you, so correct me if i'm being dumb.
if i get nistune i'll have to have the stock maps downloaded onto it, because nistune is..."blank" when first installed until you put the stock maps on?
so doing that will get my computer tune-able but still on stock values.
when i decide to, i can then tune it using my already installed NIStune.
    right?

Can order Nistune blank for Nistune dealers in Canada that have the burning equipment to copy maps onto Nistune, like Ztune, etc. Or can order Nistune with stock maps from a similar ECU to your car.

The stock ECU maps (ignition, fuel, etc) they use on Nistune board (matches your ECU part number that you give them) has been modified from stock values. I noticed this problem when I compared the tune they had on Nistune vs the tune I downloaded from my cars stock ECU. Also noticed the maps from other cars ECU's were different.

This is what I should have done -

1.) Buy tuning software, cable first.

2.) When you recieve tuning software, cable, install drivers, etc for cable and install tuning software. Then download MAPS from your cars ECU via plugging laptop (or home computer) into consult plug. You use "consult download" in tuning software.

3.) Send maps (.bin file) to Nistune in Australia or Nistune dealer (Ztune, etc) in Canada.

4.) They burn maps to Nistune and you pay for Nistune and they send Nistune to you.

5.) Remove ECU from car and install Nistune in ECU. Then fit ECU to car.

      6.) Drive car.

He went through them once he realised they were a problem and as far as I know he was looking for replacements. Sending the .bin file from your cars ECU can help him out.

Ignition maps were more advanced in places like topend, bottomend, fuelmaps were leaner. Some settings for tables have been modified, etc. I gather it was optimised for intake, exhaust mods or something like that. Good for base tune on stock car, but for modified car with bigger turbo, etc (like my car), could have been too lean in places, etc. Just played it safe and used the maps on my cars stock ECU.
