  • Oil cooler, filter and Relocation

Hey guys, I'm new with the skyline world and I don't know very much about them. I own a ECR33 Rb25DET and i was wandering if you can help me cause in my small town , they don't have the oil filter in the auto parts place. Do i need to buy from the dealer or over the internet. I want to buy an oil cooler with oil filter relocation kit and i don't to buy sometime over the internet that looks good but won't last a month.

Im pretty sure any kind of oil filter for a 240sx will fit. I would ask any of the sponsers on the forum for some oil coolers.

It's an oil cooler. No moving parts, and as long as fittngs are leak-free and hold up 100 PSI of oil, then it will work.

Our sponsors have many options at all range of prices. Hit 'em up!

Some oilcooler cores can twist with chassis and leak at endtanks under competition use. Make sure there is bracing around the oilcooler core itself to prevent twisting of core and make sure you have rubber mounts which flex if chassis twist's. Or make sure end tanks are welded onto oilcooler core, which 100% eliminates the leaking oilcooler core problem.

Setrab (used by BMW, Ferrari, etc), ARC, HKS are some oilcooler cores that have this bracing. I think it was HPI oilcooler cores that have welded on end tanks.

With oilcooler hose fittings, make sure fittings are from the same brand (Setrab, Mocal, etc). Having the wrong fittings with Mocal, Setrab, etc parts can make fittings leak.

Can buy Setrab oilcooler cores, professional looking mounting brackets from Setrab, Mocal sandwich plates, remote oilfilter plates, fittings, etc from here -

            Mocal 3/4 -16 sandwich plate -

Daryl at Tuner Lab should be able to get ARC, HKS, etc oilcooler kits from Japan -
