Driving around in my car the past few days, it feels to me like the bov is releasing too soon. I installed a Stiffer spring and that seems to have helped. Just wondering @ what rpm most peoples BOV are releasing? Looking at my rpm I am at about 3700-3800RPM which seems kinda high to me, but maybe I'm wrong.

@ what rpm does your BOV release?

My friend has a 02 wrx and when hes around 3000-3500rpm his bov doesnt go off its just a turbo flutter sound. But when he gives it to about 4000 and up the bov releases. Could he have a circ problem? Also he makes about 5 psi at 3000-3500rpm and the car is on strock boost.Heart rate 160, I'm goin 260, RB26 run me past you in a jiffy

My car does it with stock BOV. Flutter = compressor surge and is not good for CHRA on turbo. What has happened is the boost feed hole (quick release function of BOV) on the bottom of BOV is blocked, so it uses only vacuum from manifold at top of BOV and pressure in intake pipe to force valve open. More boost = more force in intake piping to open valve hence why it works better at higher boost levels.
I bought a Synapse BOV, like R32 GTS-T in link below to solve the problem -
But still need a few parts before I can install it, which is frustrating. I like the sound of Synapse BOV on a Skyline.RESPONSE MONSTER

The stock recirc configuration is prone to flutter when releasing throttle at low RPMs (my car still has stock and it does it).
I just can't imagine Nissan doing a flutter recirc system that would break turbos from factory.R32 GTR FULL SERVICE MANUAL DOWNLOAD:

Both are bad for CHRA on turbo.
Here's what the worst compressor surge sounds like -
My car does it because stock BOV is modified to not leak. Boost graph on dyno graph shows no leaks (boost keeps rising up to 12psi) with a bigger turbo.RESPONSE MONSTER
