thing with electrical problems is it could be something as easy as a unplugged harness or as complex as a completly fried system, imho dont get it even if you get it for a steal your going spend so much time chasing down problems, im with all the other guys on here spend a grand more and get a working car, you wont regret the extra expense, but you will regret being cheap and buying a lemon

If you can get it cheaper, it will be a perfect candidate as a project car..
Good luck!
or save up and get a track car only: http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/pm...152569935.htmlLast edited by flipridah17; 02-05-2011, 05:05 PM.

Don't waste your time. If you're buying something to drift and introduce to a wall, sure. If you're buying something as a project that you plan on stripping down and starting all over with, sure. If you're buying the car because you love Skylines, want to mod it moderately within reason, and keep it for any extended amount of time, I highly suggest you find something worth while. This car will sit in your garage all summer if you try and do it yourself, and will likely cost you retarded amounts of money with local mechanics who don't know Skyline electrical circuits from their own asshole if you pay someone to fix it. It was comical enough watching the stereo place put in my alarm. I can't imagine them trying to diagnose electrical gremlins similar to that of a VW.
Edit: The electircal issues you described and alternator failure almost sounds like he could have crossed the leads on a jump start. The aftermarket gauges may have survived through simplistic grounding and wiring techniques... Who knows. IF that is the case you could be looking at some extensive repairs.Last edited by Snow; 02-21-2011, 07:46 PM.DISCLAIMER: If any of the above comments in this post hurt your feelings you are likely taking me too seriously; I'm probably just busting your balls.
