  • best suspension to get

im wondering what the best suspension would be to get for my 92 gtst? i want to lower it but also have nice smooth ride. my last car was an integra and i have a koni set up on it. it was slammed but was also smooth as hell to ride in. so im just curious if there is something like that for a skyline! muchly appreciated

Aragosta or Ohlins are the best, but also $$$.

If that's what your comparing it too, you likely won't find a plush ride in a typical "Street/track" HCR coilover. If you want a smooth ride, look for spring rates in the 8/6 range, and something with a dampening adjustability. You dont necessarily need to go balls out on the setup and get the "best". The best is more setup for the track, and offer very stiff spring rates. For a comfortable street setup, look into HSD. They have a good bang-for-the-buck coilover with full adjustability. But comparing to your previous car, a similar setup such as tokico's or bilsteins with lowering springs would be the comparable.. My previous setup was along those lines, except they were Kyb GAB's with lowering springs.. My new setup is 10/8, and my car will weight less than 1100 kg, i cant imagine it will be too comfortable but you need to compromise along the lines :P

i have some zeal coilovers and they are great for street like track! but for the price you cant really beat tein super streets. not the best coilovers but they get the job done for ~700 give or take

i would also say to look into a set of hsd or stance GR+. they are pretty much the same and a great quality for the price.

                  I have HKS Hipermax II,

Rides amazingly! You can find a used set for the price of ****-entry level coilovers.

Check out skylines australia. There is a guy on there called sydneykid. He organized a group buy using bilstien shocks and eibach springs. He has all the part numbers you will need. It will cost less than those cheap 1000$ coilover kits, perform better, and ride better. It won't "slam" your car like the coilovers but the performance ride will be awesome.
