    went to service ontario today to regstister skyline that has been imported from Quebec and they tod me I need to have a Nissan dealership "verify" the cars vin number?


    has anyone else have had to do this?

    Nope. Not to say it's easy, but I've never heard of any "verification" step.

      All it does it certify that the VIN number under which you are registering actual matches the car. They will charge you like 50$ for a guy to write down the VIN on a piece of paper and sign it.

      The fun part will be the insurance!

          Yep, just get them to write a letter say the VIN matches the car on Nissan letterhead, should be all you need!

            i had to do this too. it was free and the guy did not even look at my vin lol. as long as it is printed on a dealership letter head youll have no trouble
