  • Tire Fitment Opinions

I am on the search for some tires for the car. I currently have a 17x9 wheel with what i believe to be a 35 offset. I am running a
235/40/zr17 and feel that i need something with a bit more meat to fill the wheel well in the rear and front. I have been getting quotes for 255/40/zr17. If anyone could use my pictures as reference or share some personal experiences to tell me whether that would be the right tire to put on with a 5mm wheel spacer. anything helps. i checked the wheel fitment thread but could only find some sizes close to mine.

Go with 255 40 or be cool and run 265/35

yeah i believe 265 is the max that 9 inch wheel will take. i might have to do fender flare with those? also, i dont know if a 265 would fit the front, its really low and i dont really want to readust the coilovers haha

I would say roll them at least. Consider the tire being a little wider than the rim. Does the rim sit flush with the fender? Judge by that whether you will need to pull the fender at all.

I know it's off topic but that car looks sharp man.

I wouldn't mind knowing how much tire you could get in there. I would love to get close to a 300 series if I could.
Miss driving sooooo bad! Need to get a car on the road ASAP!

thanks! its very clean. yeah i am not opposed to a fender role, i almost wish i needed one. means i got lots of tire! but yeah i think im probably going to go with the 255/40/17 got a quote for 4 falkens installed for 762$ id say thats fair. if im really annoyed with it not being low enough im going to hunt down a bargain on some rear coil overs. i already have tein in the front.
