  • questions about Etest ?

so im in the process of buying a 1995 R33 GTS25T and i have some questions regarding the Etest?

so the car is mostly stock but I'm not to sure about the exhaust it appears to be the original one but he says it doesn't have a CAT... was there ever a CAT on it from factory? and doesn't it need a CAT for an Etest in Ontario? any loop holes to get around this?

    Thanks Kyxxer !

They have cats from the factory, so if you don't have one then someone removed it and put a straight pipe.
There is no loophole around that, you must have a cat.

If it has a stock exhaust, than it will have a cat I'm sure. So no worries!

^^ me too, I have an HKS cat back with HKS cat and it passed fine. I don't think the limits on e-tests are overly strict in Ontario, most Skylines should pass fine.

unless you have racing cams... then you have to find other ways around it haha

Our cars can be etested under the grey market vehicle category. A cat is necessary according to the HTA but whoever tests your emissions will not care if there is one or not. My car passed under the grey market status with no cat, 4" straight pipe and running rich and it just passed. I can only imagine your stock gtst will be fine

No, your car is just in the grey market vehicle category. You shouldn't need to ask.
