  • Where to get oem valves

Hey guys been awhile since of been on but came on thinkin yas might be able to help me out.
Trying to find oem valves for my head build but not sure where to look.

The plan is oem valves, tomei valve springs, new lifters not sure if factory or solid, tomei poncams and spool imports adjustable cam gears.

    Motor is rb20det

Nissan dealership that deals with Skylines if know the part number or the sponsors on here, RightDrive or Feastauto in Japan.

From what I understand, solid lifter (and valve springs to suit) is needed if reving above stock rev limiter (7500rpm), as the hydraulic lifters can pump up and hold the valves open. But if replacing cams they recommend to bed new cams in with new hydraulic lifters for reliability. Factory cams are bed in with the factory hydraulic lifters.

Can make stock camgears adjustable (talk to a cam manufacturer). Stock camgear teeth are stronger.

Stock cams are best for response and have been used up to 550hp with E85 gas, Link ECU, etc.

The advantage of aftermarket cams is helping to spool a bigger turbo earlier in rpm (improve boost response), as have to run engine richer to match the cams allowing more air into cylinders, hence the extra exhaust gas helps to spool the turbo earlier in rpm. Cam timing helps too.

Here's an example of simple cam gear adjustments (intake, exhaust) with stock cams and how it improves the powerband, spools the turbo earlier in rpm (improves boost response) -

I already have spool import adjustable cam gears, as well my factory cams are toast on the engine im building and its a decent price for a set of tomei cams, so going to go with those as i am going to run a bigger turbo. The motor will be revved high as i am building it for a weekend toy
