Skyline R33 Gtst Tach Wont Work

I have the famous tach problem, where it stays on 0 Rpms and every now it then it might spaz out and jump all around for a second and then stop again. I've had the board cleaned and resoldered, and I've had the plug for the tach cleaned as well, but that only seemed to make the tach work even less. Anyone know how to fix this?

Happened to me, i wrote a thread on how to fix it, link to uk guys thread on issue/fix. Took me approx 20 mins and done. Just re-soldier the connections on the micro chip.

I would buy it, but my car had the factory A-Lsd option, so my Tach is a little different. Thats why i have to fix it instead of just buying a new one.

Dont buy a new. One resolder the back of the cluster or reflow the joints happened to mine as well
