HCR32 Turbo upgrade

Hey guys
I am planning on doing some work this winter while the car is parked.
I will be upgrading to a top mount manifold and going with gt3540 turbo.

Just wondering if you guys have any tips or suggestions? Or if there is anything else I should upgrade/change since I will be running a bigger turbo?

This is my first time doing anything like this so any help is appreciated!

I had an hks gt-rs on my rb20, pulled 306 whp and 304 wtq (with poncams and adjustable camgears) on a mustang dyno.
also the turbo spool was faster than the stock one.

Any higher then 20psi you will want to replace the headgasket and headstuds.

Thanks for the replies guys! Should I bring going with an aftermarket ecu? Or can I manage with the stock one?

mine was an upgraded board with reprogrammable eprom.
you can ask your tuner.

There is a bit more involved depending on your power goals.

Fuel Pump - Stock one will run out as you get closer to 300hp
Injectors - 270cc injectors stock, these will also limit your max power. Closer to 250whp
MAF sensor - This unit is upgraded with a Z32 MAF, but requires a small amount of rewiring (z32 plug) as well the ECU will need to know its been upgraded.

Those 3 items will be a biggest road blocks to more power, but you will still need;

-ECU, can look into getting a Nistune Board or a stand alone unit. As posted above find out what your local tuner can use.
-Stock Coilpacks will typically be leaking by now, a set of splitfire coilpacks or similar will work great.
-Installing a 3 inch exhaust will help with a bigger turbo as well. Turbo back for the largest gain.
-With more power you will want to look at your engine and tranny mounts.
-Front mount intercooler setup might also be worth looking into.
-Last major item to consider is a clutch. OEM will struggle once you get over 250whp

Building a 350-500 hp car is never cheap.

However, I kept my stock coilpack
