I've toyed with the idea of buying a Plazmaman Plenum. Would you say it's a worth while upgrade? My main reason for doing so is because I think it looks much cleaner, less distance for cooled air to travel, and then I can also get a huge intercooler...

Well I like it a lot, I did not have a front mount before i had the plenum so it is hard to say how much it is gaining. Plazmaman I believe says it gains 17 horse power at the wheels with everything stock.

I am only running stock boost but the turbo seems to spool about the same as it did with the side mount if not a little quicker. It also makes it flow a lot better in the top end. Your car has a lot more power compared to my car but in my opinion it would help you out for performance and looks to.

I however got a great deal on this from -Jay- so the price tag was not to bad for me that would be the only disadvantage I could see. Plus it sounds pretty ******* sweet

Bigger single throttle body can increase throttle response, hp.

Did you install it yourself? Did you have to modify anything? I'm just assuming the AAC and all the vacuum lines hook up to it from the stock plenum...Just curious.

Also, since there is more air-flow, would it be correct to deduce that the turbo also spools faster?

I've stuck with the same stock size throttle body, no real need to go any bigger.

I'm not too sure about the plazmaman but I noticed my boost pressure spike from 0 to it's max pressure with my custom plenum.

Yes I installed it myself, you don't have to modify anything at all to put it in, it uses all old hardware if you want (might have to buy some bolts washers and lock washers mine came already to go). The tricky parts are the intercooler piping and actually bolting it down can be tricky but again not to difficult. You will have to fabricate some vacuum lines but basically you just do exactly what was done before for routing. I also relocated my battery to my trunk which made the piping a lot easier to do. Definitely not something that needs professional installation. Ask any questions you want I am more then happy to help, and if you want more pics i can do that to
