So my tomei headgasket came in and it was time to pull the head only to find this..

im confused about the release bearing. why did you hang it on the shaft? you know you have to press the old one off and put the new one on there instead correct?

yes i do. in fact its already done and the tranny gets installed tonight

yup its an hy35. i picked it up from PURAUTO.

the only rollers this car has been on was for emissions/aircare. never had it on a dyno

my car had the original fuel pump in it. i was drinking one night and a friend ive known for over 10 years asked to borrow my car to drive 5 min away. i said ok gave him the keys and 10 min later got a phone call. “hey your #%#%$#! un reliable car wont start and im stuck here” .... first of all my car has never let me down. i drove it from alberta to ontario with no problems. any way i show up to find he is in a ghetto town house visitor spot in welfare village. not !#"$%&' happy! after some diagnostics it was determind to be a fuel issue. i was just about ready to pass out in it when my buddy finnaly shows to tow me home with his 240 sx hah. i missed almost 3 of the nicest weeks of summer because i let someone else drive.. never again and he has drivin it with me in the car before.

update!!

Finnaly my car is no longer on jack stands tranny is back in!!

so it has been almost 2 monthes since i ordered my valve stem seals. apparently they will arrive at my door soon... I have been trying to reasearch which wastegate would meet my needs the best. Should i run a 38mm with an 18 psi spring or a 15 pound spring with a manual boost controller? holset hy35 should make 400 crank at 18psi.

Im also sourcing out oil feed and return lines. and working on capping the factory turbo coolent line

I finnaly got the valve seals it took almost 2.5 monthes to get them!!! the head goes back on the car this week!!!

Coming together nice. I really need to get down there and check this out one day!
Work has halted on mine for now.
Sold the boat so I had to make my mind up on going all out on the GTS.......or getting a GTR.
As soon as i find a GTR thats NOT a junkyard car....

Well its been a while And i Got my head back from the machine shop for the second time. This time it went for a 3 angle valve job:P
So i spent most of the day yesturday trying to organise my shop and I torqued the head on the car. The cams are sitting on the head but the crank caps are proving to be annoying. Also if i didnt already mention my hks Electronic boost controller arrived! I am still trying to find a good deal on top and bottom intake gaskets. the ones i found were $70
