Very cool car man, you dont mess around.

If you dont mind you should do a how to step by step thing for changing the position of the throttle body. as it looks a lot better then bending a pipe to fit around a top mount turbo, and its way cheaper then buying a new plenum

Oakville, the 5 speed swap is actually very easy on a 240. Other than drilling the holes through the firewall for the clutch master cylinder, everything is a direct bolt on. There are 4-6 wires that have to be connected, depending on year the car was made. It's a days project for someone who knows what they're doing.

It's actually easier on a skyline, you don't have to drill through the firewall... there is a block off plate that you just unbolt to reveal the hole!

There is a write up for the TB relocation somewhere on the internet, I came across it while I was trying to find a Series 2 ECU pinout... surprisingly hard to find. I forgot to bookmark it (or the S2 pinout for that matter). If I come across it again I will post the link up. I didn't follow his, IIRC he mounted it flush with the plenum. I used the extension pipe to avoid the couple vacuum lines that are there and the coolant bleeder. I might make a writeup if I get some free time this week.

That's good to hear..I am contemplating doing a 5spd swap in my honda...the tranny is slowly fading away. and how hard is it getting the 20 into a 240?
        Victory is on the horizon..

dude tranny swaps on FWD cars are absolute hell if you dont have a hoist , and even then its not much fun at all.
Real Skyline owners have lost at least one to a freakish accident (*- ω -) = #dungive'a

i like them better for jackstands so you can use an engine hoist to manuver the transmission.

i find it harder doing a RWD on jackstands.

anyways sick project, i always wanted to do something like this.

Nice work, but you may want that PS back if you're gonna be drifting that thing.

Don't really need it to slide around in the snow, my last S13 winter beater didn't have PS either.

                Maybe I'm just super manly?

Went to the drag strip today, ran a 13.7@99... still stock boost.

It needs new plugs, I forgot to buy some when I got all the stuff for the swap and still haven't changed them. Apparently mystery used plugs from Japan aren't the way to go... I can feel it misfiring a bit just running stock boost. I tried upping the boost a bit and it would misfire pretty badly and just kept getting slower.

The car definitely has a lot more in it... too bad the tracks are closed soon.

Just to clear things up.... brenden drove all last winter, gangster leaning with one hand on the hub.... NO steering wheel at all.... and still managed to out drift all the touge masters.

If i were as big as brenden, I wouldn't even have a motor in my car.
