  • ohh very nice! The pipes do look smaller than they really are. I think 3 in is great. You don't wanna go to overboard.

You have 2 projects going at once eh? Thats kinda my plan as well. I wanna have the GTR for street/Track and a 180 for just drifting. Its a dream, but maybe once I find a job again I can do it.
Heart rate 160, I'm goin 260, RB26 run me past you in a jiffy

    • Well i have my skyline which was bought pretty much "complete" to be a daily driver. But of course in human nature there is always something better. So i started upgrading the skyline.

I had a 240 before my skyline and i loved it. Cheap car to beat on. SOld it. Bought a silvia shell and a rusted 240, was going to do a chassis swap, sold both. Bought anther running 240 coupe and sourced an sr for cheap. finally getting around to put it in.

I wanted a lhd. Don't ask why. i just did. LHD's are more rare thatn rhd's when it comes to the drifting scene out west here. I wanted a lhd to be "sleeper" i guess you could call it.

Im hoping for a low, stock body 240 with an sr.

I've always liked the idea of owning 1 car. Where its a daily driver and a drift car. Cause say your driving home see a sweet corner and you want to slide it, when your in you DD, you don't want to , or can't do it. If your in a daily/drift car. you'll go for it.

My paint gun also came in today that i ordered. there is really no place to get automotive paint in my small town so ill have to hold off on using the gun till later. My 4runner will be the test subject. no doubt about that

      • Injectors came in today. Went to moms house for some reason so won't get those till the weekend

Also. I want to paint my wheels

I'm really thinking of leaving the rim and "lip" polished and painting the face a nice color. I was thinking white but I'm unsure of that. Maybe like bronze? I dont think black would look good. Suggestions?

The only reason I want to paint them is because I got other stuff on my list that are more important than rims. So I want to make these wheels and likable as I can untill I can afford new ones

Oh I read it. Just chose to ignore. What can be more important then wheels? Jeez.

              And these:

SSR Gulf Stich wheels (17x8.5 +12 front, 17x9.5 +12 rear) True 3 piece rim, nice little buggers.

                    • Lately Ive been working on my 240 with my sr swap. Im holding off installing the injectors, fuel pump, and other stuff on my skyline because i have to move it up to Edson soon and in its current state it runs and drive and i don't want to do something wrong with the install and make it not drive cause i need to be able to move it

Come the new year is when i will have minor update, but nothing crazy

                      • So. Im getting closer to installing the parts on my skyline and it gets me thinking.

How much boost will I be able to run with my setup after i am done.

To give you an idea. I ran about 15 psi all summer long. Obviously i don't know if i was hurting the engine or not. I know i would lean out sometimes cause a warning light came on (fast and furious style).

But now this year with me having all my fuel upgrades. Im wondering if i can up the boost.

Of will i just be able to fun 15psi a little safer this year?

                        • personally i wouldnt go above 18psi. a new rb25 is 1500 and a build is 2000. run like 16psi. no point going higher. its just a daily driver

                          • Ill was just wondering what the engine could handle. I know they can't handle a whole hell of a lot.

I would probably run like 15 for daily driving. Then if i want to open it up or whatever i know what i can run safely without blowing it up

                            • So i actually drove the car today. And my power steering felt "jumpy" at low speeds. Like it would skip kinda or something of the sort.

Back at a decent speed it was fine.

Im assuming its related to the Hicas removal. I cut the wire like i was told to the hicas computer

                              • Did you move your wheel? go rack to rack and top up your fluid levels? I took mine for a drive and after 2 mins everything smoothed out.
Traction is optional, so are zipties
