Really? Because the coolant benjo bolts from my stock hard lines were much to small for the rb25 turbo. Doesnt matter now tho, I took out the hard lines and ran braided line and -6 aluminum fittings anyhow.Originally posted by Nissan_Sean View Post
Also, rb20/25 fittings are the same. Water and oil. I've yet to see one that didn't bolt right on.
+1 lethbridge meet, but you guys should drive up when we have our first Calgary get-together.
Ive had no luck finding a 10mm metric stud for the turbo manifold so I think i am just going to use a bolt instead. Hopefully my turbo will be back in this weekend. Just gotta prep and paint my gtr bumper, stock mirrors, and tail-light bezels and she'l be ready to hit the street.
Stomp pads eh? Maybe ill go take a look at Boarderline or Alpinland here in town. I still might take a wire wheel or grinder to the rust so it doesnt spread more.
And count me in for any kind of meet. A Calgary get together would be awesome but Street Machine weekend would be a good time down in Lethbridge also.

this^Originally posted by RHDskyline View Postif we had a lethbridge and calgary meet. and EVERYONE came out. Could you imagine how many skylines there would be
they are called snowboard stomp pads.
if you look at my build you might see mine. they are just silver things with 3m on the bottom.

Nice car,
You could fiberglass the holes. Should hold for a long time if you do it properly. I found the same rust when I took the gtr wing off, maybe a little worse too.

RWD_GTR just checked out your build page, HOLY DISH!!! Looks really agressive. Love it
What exactly did you guys mean by 'snowboard things' for plugging the holes on the boot lid? I think someone had a different spoiler mounted on my car at one point and they drilled an extra hole on each side. Thats why that rust spot happend. If you look closely right by the rust the white spot is actually another hole filled in with calking/silicone stuff. Im not sure if I should just take a grinder to it or what.

Umm. WTF. I didn't know people from lethbridge were on here. Anyone wants to meet up, or needs a hand with anything. Just wants to talk. whatever
shoot me a text. 403-315-0340. Always willing to help, lend some knowledge or just talk cars.
The black r33 is still in riverstone, and thats the only r33 ive seen in lethbridge.

Ya actually! But im not sure if the car is still in Lethbridge. It was a black r33 and he was going to the UofL. We chatted in the parking lot at school. It was pretty stock tho. No aftermarket wheels or performance upgrades.
To be honest I dont think I have ever seen your car around! Looks good though!

Its out!!! Used a nut and a mig welder and soaked the stud in some fancy WD40.

Just gotta find a new stud this week and get the turbo back on!
Next I took off my spoiler. The spoilerless look has been growing on me but unfortunately I found....
RUST!
Im not sure what to do about it. Its only on the drivers side. I kinda wanna keep the spoiler off but the rust looks so bad.
I also got to mounting the cf hood lip and hood latch. I had to bend the hood latch release to work with the grille. But it was pretty easy. I had also been having some issues with how my hood was sitting too high so I drilled out the holes on the latch and got it to sit low and allow the hood to close tighter to the highlights. I also used more 3m double sided tape and some vise grips to keep the cf lip down. We'll see how it works when I get back out to the shop in a few days.

Haha, no kidding eh. This town is full of jdm cars. Just when you think you've seen them all another one pops up.
And I think im gonna get a guy I know with a body shop in Ft Macleod to paint my stuff. Ive known him for a long time so its just a matter of prepping everything. And thanks for the wishes with the broken stud! I will need all the patience I can get

there are a ton of places in lethbridge that can paint your stuff. Unless your trying to keep it really low budget and want to spray it yourself.
I'm always driving around, so you probably have seen it.
There are enough skylines in lethbridge that its hard to keep track of them all.
Good luck with that turbo bolt. Patience is key, don't wanna make it worse
