  • My 1991 GTS-T Project

Hey guys, I just picked up my R32 on thursday! I previously owned a 2002 Automatic V6 Mustang....for 5 years, and well, it was fun but I was really needing a change!

The car already came with a bunch of mods, and to be honest, half of them I don't even know what they do. This car is going to be a huge learning progress, trying to learn how to do as much as I can with it by myself (with some much needed help from other fellow skyline owners).

As far as I know, the car came with the following from what I can remember, and just might have more that I don't even know about...

    -3" exhaust
    -RB25 Turbo
    -HKS BOV (removed it)
    -Nismo Suspension?
-Stage 3 Clutch ( No idea what brand)
    -Short Shifter
    - One of my buddies said the rear diff is not stock
    - GTR hood, grille , trunk lid, and rims

Here are some pics I took, going to take some better pics after the car gets some desperately needed attention to the paint!

    Mods that I have planned:

-FMIC ( might go with the ebay ones, read a few threads and seems like they don't have much of an issue, but I still have to look into it)
    - Fuel Injectors, Fuel Pump, a new catback (undecided which still), tune

Probably a couple other things along with all that, this won't be a ridiculous build thread like some of the ones on here, but I'll try my best to keep you guys entertained.

    Here's the car!

    Fogs removed

and as she sits now in front of my house!

PS: that GT-R emblem is coming off sooner than later.

Nothing wrong with with ebay fmic imo. I did one this winter so I cant vouch for long term quality yet but I was surprised with the quality. I found a kit with piping, bolt clamps, and silicone couplers for $300 bucks and like trickery said, there are cheaper ones yet.

Car looks really clean and simple. In a good way. Good call on removing the fog lights tho. Its nice that it already came with the gtr hood.
Whats with the strange coloured signal lights tho? That car would probably look reaaaaaly slick with clear signal markers.

Nothing wrong with a simple build page either! Not everyone needs to have there top end sitting in pieces or something

The signal markers are like... yellow almost, pretty shitty. I was thinking of just throwing on some amber ones, never thought of putting the clear ones...

Well well, a build thread I see.. So when you're missing out on st-pattys day shenanigans, you're on here ehhhh :P

Honestly, ebay, or any 'ebay' type company like Godspeed is adequate enough for the power you're aiming for.. My intercooler held up great over the summer (last year) and was certainly good quality. Just avoid ebay oil cooler kits.. lol

We'll check the shops out soon, otherwise check the FS threads for recently wrecked-car-partouts; i'm sure you'll stumble on some well priced corners. Clear corners looks rice imo, amber ftw. Unless they're clear with amber markers (small bulge). There was a run of these by a company way back when - tough to find though..

Post the pics of your newly modded rear spat not sure that was the BEST idea.. lol

reminds me a lot of my old GTS-t... without the wing but yours with different color wheels.

See what I did to my front bumper? I think it makes the GTS-t bumper look way nicer.

Ya, the clear with amber markers were what I was referring to marc. They came on my car. Cant go wrong with the classic amber tho. Ultimately I think the moral of the story is anything would be better than that yellowish colour

+1 on falcon's one step process hahah

Falcon: I intend on doing the same thing to my front bumper!

And that GT-R emblem is coming off very soon.

Debating painting the wheels either black or bronze... and im on the hunt for some new brake pads and rotors, where do you guys usually get yours? Any clear cut brands that I should try and get?

                    Hawk HPS.
either have your stock rotors turned if they're within spec or brembo blanks for 80-90$ per set.

I ha my rotors done at LS in Dorion, 35$.. Tracked and abused all summer, still minty fresh

Bronze on the wheels. other than that, keep it wingless and you'll be good to go! (also, get some amber corners)
                        Victory is on the horizon..
