and now back from under the knife..

my wheel fittiment issue is solved. i had to run 5mm(one each side) spacer in the front because the strut need a little more room. but other than that i can roll again

well didn't have any tires on the rear z32 wheels that were the right size(need 245/45/26) so iam running the g35's on the rear(true staggered). they never had a prob with the rear wheels as i didn't upgrade the brakes back there.

so i get to rolling and sriving around. a few bugs. i had to raise up the intercooler(still to damn low). but i get a fuel leak the next day(wtf). comming from the gas tank area. right around the neck.

this ********** want's to leak all of a sudden. so i go to auto parts stores here in town and none has ever seen anything like it(of coruse). so i get a roll of gasket material thinking it was a gasket gone bad.

luckily it was a o-ring. but of course none of the auto shops had the size. had to go to ace hardware to find what i needed. took a few hrs but problem averted.

and chicks STILL dig the 13

      -DRIVING IMPRESSION-

-The car feels a little more bouncy now over bumps. iam thinking it's because i have that tall rear 17 inch tire. and prob because iam still rocking stock sway bars(maybe) but coilovers are next on the list.

although the front is hella low(intercooler will scrape). so kinda leary on dropping any further on the front. would like to make the bigger swap bars fit(maybe i can do the rears not sure on the front one).

-i like the j30 diff. the gears are way way different. and i can drive on the highway in 4th. i have to emiminate the top speed limiter as now i'd hit that with no pro it seems(118-120).

-the f1 racing(egay) clutch is really really good ****(so far). i got the 6 puck and it clamps like a mofo. have to ease it out,and it still clamps like a unit 2x the price. i recommend this clutch to anyone who needs good quality at a cheapo price(KEYWORD SO FAR-still breaking clutch in) but so far so good.

-the gas mileage has went down since i did these mods(maybe the 17inch tires). or prob the j30 diff. no specific numbers yet but the gauge moves more than before i did the lug swap

-the brakes are ******* wow.. i did ceramic pads for the z32 in the front. and organic s13 pads in the rear. no fade really and i can stop on a dime. i also give credit to the pain free brake bleeding because of the "mighty vac" a good tool everyone should have.

all in all a good modification and aside from the wheel fittiment and the diff debacle wasn't hard to pull off.

        thanks burntz!!

so iam running super rich. i mean like donald trump or jay-z rich. and i heard that under the hood if the temps are high and if a turbo engine dosen't get enough freah cool air then this will also aid in the car running rich. i notice this on a hot as **** sunny day.

not sure about the domstic guys. but the cars in japan use 2 methods to combat this.

-make or run a cool air induction box
-or run some ducting from the front of the car to the air cone or maf.

theres also the hood scoop method, but id rather not cut up my hood.

so i went to ace hardware and got some dryer ducting, the smallest diameter i could find. i was torn between aluminum and the vinyl that i got. but i went with the vinyl as it was cheaper and easier to bend.

first was to relocate this fuse box out of the way. now i could not do this mod if i was running a side feed intercooler(so benefit to the non side feed ones).

then i got some saw bits from the clearance rack at advance auto.

wasn't big enough though so i had to improvise

then used a dremel to smooth things over, after using long nose pliers.

running the tubing next to the cold side of the intercooler

cut and installed a little mesh screen to catch those pesky bugs.

well i got some mods thinking i would be able to finish out the year with better dyno numbers. Ran out of money then came into some to acquire these goodies..

Iam missing my gt2871r cause again i ran out of money. and with the turbo i was realistically looking at putting down 380-390whp at 15-17psi.

But that didn't happen. with this list i was hoping for over 300whp with the addition of the oil cooler kit to aid the ceramic turbo and keep it from grenading at 15+psi.

I also got an intercooler piping kit and wanted to raise the intercooler core a few inches higher to stop scraping on the ground.

wiring this stuff is a chore and a pain. the boost controller i brought used. the the seller tried to pull a fast one on the power cord. so i had to wait a week for it to come in. but i really didn't finish installing the damn unit till a month later..

then for the z32 there was splicing the maf. the wiring diagrams i got were easy. i used butt connectors. but iam planning on sodering them(i suck at that) next week.

Then along the line i noticed the diaframs in my front right capilar and in my real left were leaking brake fluid(not a safe deal).

then i went to autozone for a swap cause it was under warranty. and i went to the junkyard and sourced a not so high mileage rear cap..

so i brought some 2.5 intercooler piping from e-gay. i got this set before and i am very happy with it. the t-clamps are of high quality..

CXRacing 2.5" O.D. Mandrel Bent Universal Black Aluminum Piping Kit. RMA numbers will not be extended or reissued. Great for Many Turbo Intercooler Applications. International Sales.

and i cut and raised my pipes and i made a better center bracket i raised it by min 4" and taller is better in this case.

unfortunately the o rings that come with the d injectors are too thick for a good seal. Luckily the rings from the ka engines are a direct fit.

Then it was onto pulling the old injectors. Getting this effin intake manifold off with the engine in the car id doable. But it is not enjoyable..

Then it's removing the old injectors. i left the fuel rail attached for ease of install. Every time you pull off an injector some fuel will spew out. make sure to remove your gas cap to relieve pressure.

Some of the old o rings need to be pried out with a screwdriver.

side by side comparison stockers on the left

Now installed time to stick them in(black is where it's at).

I forgot to lube the rings. But i shouldnt have any problems as they are brand new and shouldnt breakdown anytime soon.

So then it was onto finally install my profec b. I installed the solonoid on a bolt of the turbo's cold side for clearance and reduction of tubbing. If it vibrates too much then i will move it..

                t-ing off the fpr

Then i got my first wideband. Effin yea.

lots of wires that had to be combined and stuff(effin nightmare).

wasn't too bad. Had to go back and solder 2 wires. crimped the rest.

Then had to call uppon my dumppipe to take another one for the team.

Wasn't too bad he charged me $15 beans to install this bung..

This a/f and fuel map **** is annoying. Sent my ecu for an eprom tune and the guy just put junk on there. luckily i have akurtzer57 and his trusty nistune helping me. Hopefully my damn car will be running Next week.. If not iam ****** and will have to wait for funds for a nistune..

so 5 chips later, still no dice.

this eprom **** isn't cutting it. iam going to have to get a ******* nistune. so antoher $550.00 out of my life.

but in the meantime the car sits..never get eprom tunes/mail tunes, it never works out.

So after selling some dsm **** i had left over to a fellow in kc. We started talking about well... dsm stuff. and he mentioned the hx holset turbo's. Ive heard of these many times from the dsm guys who swear by them and the fact that dodge uses them.

So later i go do a short read on them. apparently they have a good spool and use minimum boost. So looking fo an alternative to a costly gt2871r. I looked on cl here in kc for one. and WTF!! i find one for $75.00. Internal wasgated also, because i don't want to run an external because the pain of more custom pipe(i try to keep that down). So i met the fellow and jewed him down to $60.00.EFFING YEA!!

So this turbo has no shaft play and looks good. if i had myy engine out now i would install it. But iam going to order a rebuild kit and play it safe.

the manifold side looks exactly like the stock rb one. I just need to fabb up a downpipe for the hotside looking at this.

only problem is there is no divorce for the wastegate. So iam going to have to further customize it to fit.. But still cheaper than $1,300.00. this turbo should complement my 650cc injec well. and with my nistune and this side mount intake iam also planning on buying.

I should be at my goal of about 380-400whp..

so now iam ******. Untill the lex is done i have to use the rb as a daily.

And while trying to figure out the nistune wiring hookup, i was pressed for time and switched my injectors and maf back to stock(yes it's 180hp slow again).

And at the price of premium this $100 a week for gas is for the birds.. i plan on picking up another suby wagon around the end of the summer before winter. fuji heavy indusrties makes a good product, and i will buy again..

so heres a recap on what ive been doing..

made a actual vent for better air flow. started out with vynil dryer ducting. But then went with alumn.

now i'd like time to make my intake shield in the engine..

so after that ****-sucker carl h jipped me on a mail tune(i will never do that crap again. it was time to finally attempt to get **** started on tuning this damn thing. for a total package of $580.00 i got a nifty device called a nistune.

drop down menu, i can adjust my fuel maps, afr, yadda yadda. i still haven't had the time to sit down and read the manuals. and the fact i need my car to drive everyday. iam using it now as a monitoring tool.

and the setup using my nifty laptop windshield mount.

But it wasn't all easy. Took me a week to get it hooked up, i was rushed and was reading the damn ecu pinout backwards..

so arter 3 splice attempts i finally got it.. the only bad thing is i have a pre odb car. so i had to splice a consult cable into the harness before the ecu, using this plug.

so i could get this adapter to my ecu

so i got something that no s13 owners really get from what i can see.. SOME DAMN WEATHER-STRIPPING!!! 3 weeks from japan(ya overnighted)

can't really tell from this pic but it does seal better with the door closed, and it was an easy install.

so other than my oil cooler taking a dump on me(didn't put teflon tape on a thread). so i had a scare as the crankcase was drained. But luckily nothing to damage the engine..

i spent a lot of money on this oil cooler setup so far so iam laying off it for now. But i might try it again. I have bad luck with oil coolers(on my supra,z32)But again spent so much coin on this setup..

so other than super bald front tires(getting replaced with 225/45/16 next week). and i think i will throw my 16's on the rear when i get some tread for them. the 17's are too bouncy. getting some coils next month.

so iam trying to test fit the hx on my rb before i go ahead with the install. and i hit a ******* "****-block"

The stock intake tube isn't big enough for the ex. so now i need curved heavy duty l shaped, that is 3" dia on one end and 3".8m on the other. and 1ft and 2" long.

                                anyone has any suggestions??
