  • My 92 skyline

    hey guys new to the forum and this is my first real post here, just a little history to start off the build,

    its a 1992 skyline gtst with a higher mileage RB20det she's currently got 190XXX miles on the what im assuming to be the original engine, the car was imported from japan in march of 2009 just before the Quebec cutoff point of april 29th 2009, when I first saw the car i was taking the bus to my welding course last april and i caught a glimpse of a skyline sitting in a scrapyard, so i told a friend of mine and we went and saw it, what we were told was the previous owner was speeding on our local reserve and his license was expired so the car was impounded at the scrapyard and it was handed over as payment because he couldnt afford to pay the fees, in april the scrpyard was asking 2800 for it and i didnt have the money or the space for it at the time so i walked away sad knowing the car would be crushed, spring ahead about 7-8 months and my friend and i go to the scrapyard for parts for his 240sx because there was on in there, while we were in the yard stripping the dead 240 i noticed this white car sitting in the bushes in the far back corner so out of curiosity i went and took a look and it was her it was the skyline, i questioned about it and they were only asking 1000 for it so i told them ill be back the next day cash in hand with a flatbed and thats how we got to where we are today

    WARNING the following pictures may cause hurt to many skyline lovers everywhere;

    this is how she was up until this morning when i got her ready to come home from my friends house where shes at right now

    ill have another update tomorrow night

    I like.

    Looks fairly easy to bring up to a mint looking car, if have spare parts from junk yard, spare time.

    Engine would be due for a routine refresh (bearings, rings, aftermarket oil pump collar, etc), as usually due at every 100,000km. Good time to fit a metal headgasket, forged pistons, new valve springs, upgraded intake gaskets, etc.

      I would buy your car for 2000$ if your interested. You'll make a thousand dollars. I live in montreal as well. Let me know.

          A little bad news, the other day I hit a patch or ice and lost control of the car and rear ended a parked car, no one was hurt except for the skyline the other car is fine I need a new radiator support and front end to fix it as well as a radiator.
          Seriously sorry for the bad news guys
