Seriously they should REALLY make a set list of what something means

Full time AWD to me means infinite torque split between teh front and rear depending on situation. (or something that's VERY adjustable)

Part time AWD would be like the ATTESSA-ETS

Full time 4WD should be a 50/50 split

Part time 4WD should be like the part time AWD but only forces it to a 50/50 split

selectable 4WD should allow you to select if you're in FWD/RWD or 50/50 split mode.

AWD is something that subaru came up with I belive.. their AWD system is literally the power can be sent to one wheel.. front right front left back right back left... its very hard unless you have lots of power to spin your tires in a subaru on pavement... I can manage to chirp the tires.. but then the another tire grips.. therefore since the ATTESA-ETS doesn't split the torque between the two front wheels or two back wheels (only splits between front and back) it is only a version of 4WD.. (ATTESA-ETS pro is the only one that splits the rears on skylines..)

(this is all as how i see it.. which just further prooves your point that there should be a set list as to whats what...)

Subaru's AWD cannot be sent all to one wheel, their commercials may get you thinking like that, but they have never indicated that.

read it up on their symmertrical AWD thing.

        I belive it's a 45/55 split.

[edit] My bad Subaru has LOTS of crazy AWD systems...
