i may be wrong on this but...i dont know of any chip for the series II ecu. it is a smarter ecu then the rb20 unit. for the rb20 i know it is easy to modify to get whatever gains, but with the r33 ecu it is more dificult to modify.

Hey I have just read this whole discussion as well as others on swapping an rb25 in an r32. However I am getting confused with all the mixed info or I am just not understanding it. Long story short I have an r32 GTS-T that I just pulled the rb30det from, I have an rb25det series 2 with the ECU and full harness. Now from looking at different threads and looking at wiring diagrams I beleive I have 2 ways to do this but PLEASE correct me if you are wrong or have done this already.
1) RB25det series 2 engine and ECU with rb20 harness, modifying the injector harness and using the rb20 igniter and coils
or
2) rb25det series 2 engine-ecu and harness complete
let me know if this is wrong, I thought I was on the right path but looking at other convo's I got very confused as well as there doesn't seem to be much info on the series 2, the only reason I got a series 2 is because I got a good deal anyway but I was under the impression I could just swap the igniter and coil packs from the rb20 and I can make it work
Thanks for the any info, and like I said, i did do research but I keep finding conflicting answers
