engine rev problem

hey guys so im driving and in lik 3rd 4th and 5th gear wen i step on it the engine and rpms jus shoot all the way up bu the car isnt going any faster what does this mean?

+ 1. Bingo. A good test i read off of sau said to hold the car at 3,000 rpm in fourth and just dump the throttle. this will be indicative of how the clutch is.

whats a good clutch to put in i do alot of drifting and racing like auto cross and stuff i seen lik stage 3clutchs onn ebay and just wondering are they good

realistically, nismo twin copper mix keeps a stock feel. you can also get away with double and triple plates in hks, os giken, etc. depending on how much horsepower your using, a nismo twin mix would probably do.

i liked my XTO racing STG2 clutch it had very little chatter but it grabbed good

talk to daryl or adam from tunerlab and feast a/e. a good clutch is usually in the 2-3 thousand range depending. i think the nismo one comes in at around 2 or so. correct me if i am mistaken i havent looked at this prices in a long long time. sourcing something locally would save you some economic turmoil in the form of the cad vs yen as well.

i think if your making close to stock horsepower a good clutch would be 3-600 dollars.

twin and triple disc clutches are nice but not worth it if your not making the power to realy need that kind of grab, imo
