  • Stock gaskets vs aftermarket?

Hey all, I'm planning on doing an engine rebuild on my '91 rb20det. What are your thoughts on using "stock" gaskets vs aftermarket ones? I'm eventually going to turn this car into a hardcore racer but for now I just want her to be a fast street car until I can afford another car for when the skyline's sans le engine or on jack stands. Thanks much!
I've been brushing my teeth with jack but it's resulted in terrible amounts of tooth decay.

in my opinion unless your upgrading to metal gaskets i'd use OEM nissan gaskets, Nothing seals like original equiptment.

thats what i was thinking, i like to stick with what nissan uses since they put together some pretty sick cars. know where i can get them? my nissan dealer doesn't carry any skyline parts obviously. useless dealers...

Just give them the part number and tell them you want to order that part. It's in their system, they're probably just too lazy.

You should try a few different dealers in your area because even if it's out of your way, any dealership can ship the product to a dealer new you so you can pick it up. You'll just prepay and go pick the product up when it arrives.

There are some people at the dealership that will help you, but you just have to look under every possible rock to find them. Everything is easier when you have someone at Nissan willing to help you find the right part or parts, and they do have skyline part numbers at their disposal, but most people are jackass'!

PM me if you need some more info on finding a Nissan dealership that will help you.

and you live in TO too.... have fun in the summer when your sack and back and pits are sweating. I'm sure the GF is going to love it when you show up for a date dripping in your bodily fluids.
