Oil flow and warmup routine

watching my a/f guage, it starts out reading lean then slowly, one notch at a time starts to richen up til it goes 3/4 out. i wait til that point which takes somewhere in the 30 sec range. then i begin to drive the car, but as stated, if its colder then wait longer.
