  • Clutch issue

I'm having the pedal to the floor problem, but I have about 80% of nothing, and then 20% of clutch before it touches the floor, the problem happened after the car sat overnight, so I'm assuming that eliminates the clutch fork and the pedal mount. Unless I'm wrong on that.

I don't see any visable leaks and I checked out the master cylinder and the fluid was still full, so am I pretty much left with an internal problem with the slave/master or am I missing something here?

Just trying to get a good diagnosis because it's not really feasible to drive around like this, and I'd like to narrow it down a bit before I start spending money/time.

Also, someone said something about tightening a bolt somewhere and seeing if that fixed it, anybody got more info on that?

I know there are many threads on this but most of the answers were pretty vague, so I figured I'd try my luck.

sounds like your slave. Go under the car and slide the boot back alittle if fluid comes out that's your problem. Its easy to check

Checked the slave, no fluid that I can see when I pulled the boot off, I'm guessing its something internal.

he said it happened over night?

but like actionbstard said there is adjusment on the clutch pedal but if it happened over night im sure it will only hide the problem.

check for brake fluid running down firewall inside car. could mean your master cylinder is bypassing? or drain your fluid put new fluid in and bleed it?

change the clutch line that goes to the master cyl.maybe a rat did some damage.Things don't happen when theres no use.Battery and sht like that but not clutch. Some one most have braided lines.Even if its not the line its always good to get one.So no money lost.
