  • RB20 Water Pump

Im just about to switch out my Water pump, and I need to know if I need to use a gasket for it or would the blue goo work fine.

    Thanks

i was told by autodream to use the goop, maybe its cause they couldnt get a gasket but its been holding for a while now

From what I can remember, thermostat housing, waterpump use liquid gasket from Nissan. Oilpump has a gasket.

          Skym is correct (again )!

Use "Permatex Waterpump & Thermostat Housing RTV" (liquid gasket). Available at Napa, Canadian Tire, Part Source, any auto parts store really.

Nissan uses liquid gasket from the factory on both of those parts.

Here's a pic of what you should look for:

And quite possibly a 6 week wait from Japan.
