  • Is this ecu sutable for an rb25det?

hello i have a rb25 with a 20 harness and ecu the ecu is fried can i use a 2371021u70 mec r630 instead of an 2371004u01 mec r126? any help would be usful the ecu`s look diffrent inside if not wat other ecu`s can i use

They both seem to be RB20 numbers

You would want to remap it to suit the 25 properly.

yea the 20 ecu would be great is it for a s1 or an s2 the car has a series 2(it has 1 ignition module)

oops i missread sorry yea the chip would be great but do you think were safe to try to start the car with this ecu? the car it came out of has igniter chips on each coil and the one i want to put it in has 1

worst case it wont start (i suspect thats the case)

                I wouldnt boost on it?

Just don't boost and you should be ok

I did the math once, and the mapping wasnt too far out

A series 1 ECU will fry as soon as you crank it over on a series 2 ignition system. Been there, done that.

Not so. The 2 are interchangeable.

S2 ecu wont like your R32 wiring

Maybe it's only an R34 RB25 ignition system then, I had a Neo motor (similar to a S2) converted to R33 electronics and it would fry S1 ECUs all day but ran perfect on an S2 ECU. Fried a few ECUs before I figured out why.

I just re-red his post though:

1 Ignition module meaning it has the ignitor chip on the back of the coil pack cover? That's a S1 motor.
