R32 GTS-T Projector Headlights - which HID Kit fits easiest?

So it's been established that the projector headlight uses H3C bulbs.


Since 99.9999% of automotive stores in Canada do not stock H3C style bulbs, what KID kit should I pick up to mod to fit the H3C?



Please no pep talk about blinding people etc, this is purely a question to ask which North American HID bulb type is easiest to adapt to our H3C projector housing. Thx

From my expeirence with the Projectors and HID's they dont work that well.
From what i have found these kits do not allow the bulb to sit in the right position in the housing.
Now the housing its self is VERY bright but it just does not project the light properly.
I have tried about 3 kits and one of them a customer brought in was a BMW OEM kit that we fit in and even took out the difusser and it just does not project the light the same way as OEM HIDs do.
They are still 500% better than without them, but a full retrofit including the projectors from another car i fell is the only way to get them 100%.

As for a bolt in look at an h3 kit this way you will not have to modify the housing to hold the bulbs.

If you are interested in trying a kit we have a few sets of ballasts, bulbs and ignitors here william that you can have for a pretty good price.

Right now, I am using some super white H3C's on my car, it looks ok but it doesnt light up the street like an HID setup.


If I go with a retrofit, what car does the HID kit need to be from?

I ran the McCulloch HID system in my Integra which used the projector housing. All I had to do was take the original bulb out and put the HID bulb in and mount the ignitors somewhere in the engine bay. These lights worked great. I wouldnt recommend going with anything over a 5300K because the light gets too purple. The lower the value, the more blue, the 5300 is more white and the higher you go it gets more purple and attracts more attention from cops

I have a friend who is running the same system as I had in his NSX which also has projectors. They fit directly in and did not need any adjustment. We both picked ours up for under 500 CDN through a group buy put together on the NSX forums. They came directly from Hong Kong

This worked on yours and your buddy's hondas because you had a bolt in kit with the right light bulbs
they dont make a H3C HID kit which means like the h3 conversion the bulb will not sit in the housing properly and effect light output.

When I had my projector setup I used H3 HIDs on mine and had a buddy with a lathe whip off a couple of customs gaskets which worked really well. I think I still have them somewhere...

Thanks for the link Shan! Hopefully I'll be doing my HID conversion from a Lexus RX330 this winter, presuming I can get the dirt cheap parts that my contact has sitting around 8)
