  • Correct Tie Rod end???

So a fetched my driver side outer tie rod end up while replacing my Steering Rack boot.

Been doing reaserch and its been back and forth between the 300zx or Maxima tie rod end. Cant get a confirmed answer.

I picked up a 95 Maxima tie rod and it looks like the taper, thread pitch, and everything is all the same, however when you stand the skyline one up against the maxima one up the maxima one is shorter.

Does anyone know if the maxima one will work fine, or if i should keep looking. If all matches up as it does, the in theroy it should work and be compensated with a alighnment??

Ok so the Maxima one doesnt fit as thought. When I installed it on the steering arm there's more play on the threads then the original one. That's not good enough for me lol. Anyone know of any other tie rods that will work?

I used the maxima tie rods and they worked great, but i also had front inner tie rods from a think a q20, can't remember off the top of my head. But i don't think it matters for a wheel alignment because its set up according to the square like toe in toe out and camber and caster. So they would just turn the tie rods off the inner ones more to make the setting appropriate. Someone correct me if i am wrong though
