Just wandering, how much boost or power can RB25DET withstand, without blowing the motor?

they claim 12 PSI for which inm at right now, but make sure you have the supporting mods to keep things at bay such as FMIC, Exhaust, etc....
but ill be pushing mine to 15 PSI soon enough now that i think i got the fueling issue/gremlin i had for some time now. On my set up (still on stock internals) i have:
3" Tubby back exhaust
Greddy/Trust FMIC
Blitz BOV
Cone air filter
Boost controller
Emanage Blue (Not the best but itll work) id love a Vipec but $$$ isnt there.
New fuel pump, lines, filter, grounded the wire from the fuel pump, etc
i may be missing other things on my set up but you get the point im sure........GTRCANADA.COM

Stock turbo?
When I ran the stock turbo I found that 14psi and under was fine, and the AFR's were alright. Any higher with the stock ecu and they got a bit risky for my liking.
However if you ask me regardless of turbo/boost how much power a stock RB25 can make all depends on the tune. Doesn't matter what horsepower you make it won't take much detonation to grenade an rb25. A good tune will go a LONG way in making it be reliable and last at higher power levels.
I'd say about 425 on the stock bottom end is the limit of being safe. This is of course with supporting mods. There are some things I would do after that power level (crank collar, thicker HG etc)
