  • Spark Plugs

Just got the NGK's BKR6EIX-11 and would like to hear some recommendations whether to gap it to 0.8, 0.6 or just leave it the way they are (1.1)

    Model is ECR33
    Engine RB25DET ..... GTS25T ...

Stock Turbo, and will not run it more than 12psi, maybe 15 from time to time but not more

    Thanks for the help

I found the 7's would misfire slightly at idle. 6's are perfect for that power level.

NGK PFR7A with 0.8mm gap. But it depends on how rich or lean the A/F ratio is. Missing at idle can be due to idle A/F ratio being too rich, so running a hotter heatrange, wider gap helps. A way to find this out, is unplug o2 sensor and idle missing should stop. But you'll probably need to reset ECU after plugging 02 sensor back in to clear error code.

11psi is as far as I would push it with stock ECU tune on a RB25DET. If have aftermarket ECU like Link ECU with map sensor + 13psi, up to 230rwkw / 308rwhp is possible with stock turbo. Average is 210rwkw-220rwkw, 282rwhp-295rwhp.
