Boost/Turbo issues

I have owned my skyline for about 3 months with ok boost. about .3 bar and .6 when im really pushing it(should be more no?).
Recently however, i have no boost at all. i sit at 0 bar when im at pre 5000 rpm and after that i get a tiny bit of boost shown on my boost guage and the exhaust sounds significantly louder throughout the whole power band.
This is where i turn to the forums for help

Blowing any smoke? Any exhaust leaks? Any boost leaks? Check over the exhaust system and the intake system. Inspect the turbo.

theres an exhuast leak somewere before the turbo.

so i opened up my car today and foudn that my waste gate arm isn't connected to the turbo and it was loose leaving the wastegate wide open. i think that solves my boost problem but would that also explain the louder exhaust?
