NEED HELP! rb25 wont start.

put an rb25 into my gtr and it wont even turn over.

everything is plugged in except abs and there is three plugs on the fuse box and only the bottom one plugs in. the other two dont fit (cause its a 25 harness)


what happens is the one light in the guage cluster (the one bottom right one in this pic) turns on whenever i try to turn it over. (i believe the red light is the catylatic converter warning light)

Cat light acts as a cat overheat light, engine check light. It should flash a error code if something is wrong with sensors, etc, when ECU is in diagnostic mode (turning screw on side of ECU puts ECU into diagnostic mode). Check wiring, to see if you missed any sensors or didn't wire them correctly.

could it be because these two top plugs arent plugged in?

i have no idea what those wires are. if someone thats done a 25 swap could help that would be great

ill double check but im sure the top 2 plugs need to be plugged in, that harness plugs into the subharness that goes to the starter, alternator ect. the top 2 plugs go to the steering rack and for hicas solenoid iirc.
if you dont find out by the time i get back from calgary tommorow ill let you know where everything goes.
check that the little black wire is connected on the starter, and that the connections are good.

got a buddy coming to help me today but i just realized my reverse lights or license plate lights come on only when i turn the turn to start. wtf?

fixed it. it started. turns out you have to repin the bottom plug in the pic
