MAF removal question

Is there any way to remove the MAF from a R32 GTS-T and drive the car without one installed. If you can how would you do it?

Well im going to throw this out there and say to use the SEARCH... im sure thsi has been brought up a bunch of times....but no you can not drive your car with out the maf hooked up, unless you have a aftermarket ecu like a pfc with a map sensor then you can remove the maf.

research on the net for aftermarket ecu. they will say their features, i honestly dont think nistune supports map sensor. not 100% sure on it. the answers are there if you do your homework

You'll need the MAF to let the ECU calculate load unless it is capable of using MAP sensor input for that purpose. If you want to go MAFless your best bet is to buy a good standalone and tune it. PowerFC has a MAP version, but also MAF versions. Research before you buy. ViPEC is a good bet as is Haltech and Motec.

The gauze screens make stock MAF or Z32 MAF become a restriction.

With Nistune you can run a Ford Lightning MAF that's rated to 700hp in tuning software (some say more like 800hp) and run it in a blow through setup, as mounting plates are available for Ford MAF to do a blow through setup (no screens).

Rough idle is due to cams. Can see Ford Lightning MAF at 1:12+ on intercooler piping.
